Your Waste Contract Could Be
Working Against You
Evergreen renewal clauses, uncapped rate increases, and unmatched invoice line items. We audit your waste hauling contract and invoice side-by-side, so you can see what to review before the next bill.

Some of the issues we check for — and there are many more.
Miss the notice window and the contract may renew for another full term.
Some contracts let the hauler raise rates with no ceiling and no fixed trigger.
Fees that refer to an external policy rather than a stated amount.
Some contracts let your current hauler match a competing offer before you're free to switch.
A pre-set cost for ending service early — which can come with added equipment fees.
Some contracts set a deadline, counted from the invoice date, to formally dispute a billing error.
How It Works
Upload Your Contract & Invoice
Securely upload your waste hauling contract, invoice, or both — PDFs or photos work fine. Just a contract or just an invoice still gets you a reduced-scope audit. Providing both your full contract — including all fine print — and a current invoice will generate the clearest, most complete report.

What We Check
Contract terms can change what you pay over time. Here are six we check for, and how each one can affect your costs.
Evergreen Renewal Clause
A contract can auto-renew into another single or multi-year term unless you cancel within a notice window. That window can be 90 days or more before renewal, and the contract may require a specific delivery method such as certified mail. If your contract has this term, we identify an estimated renewal date and cancellation deadline, based on the documents you provide.
Back to top ↑Uncapped Price Increases
Some contracts let the hauler raise rates at any time for vague reasons like "regional costs," with no stated ceiling. We check your actual invoiced rate against your contract's cap — if one exists at all.
Back to top ↑Undisclosed Fees
Fuel surcharges, environmental fees, and administrative charges that refer to an external "pricing policy" instead of a stated percentage. We list each fee found on your invoice and note whether your contract states its amount or how it is calculated.
Back to top ↑Right of First Refusal
Some contracts require you to give your current hauler a chance to match any competing bid before you're free to switch providers — even after your notice window closes. We identify this clause when it appears in your contract and include it in your findings.
Back to top ↑Liquidated Damages
Your contract may set a fixed charge for ending service early — for example, your monthly rate times the months remaining — and may add separate equipment removal or restocking fees on top. We surface the estimated calculation and financial variance, based on the documents provided.
Back to top ↑Dispute Window Limitation
Your contract may give you a limited window, counted from the invoice date, to formally dispute a billing error. We estimate that window from your invoice dates, based on the documents you provide, so you can see whether it may still be open.

If the report finds something, does that mean I have to switch haulers?
Not at all. Most findings are about being prepared — knowing your renewal date, understanding a clause, or having leverage to negotiate. Nothing in your report requires you to take any specific action.
